Psychologist – Community Oriented Primary Care

Candidate will be part of an integrated health team where the psychologist teams with primary care physicians, psychiatrists and masters level social workers. This is a collaborative care model in which primary care and mental health providers partner to manage the treatment of mental health problems in the primary care setting. You will assess patients’ psychological problems through personal interviews, interviews with third parties, documentation and review of records, and/or other formal evaluation procedures to determine diagnosis and treatment. You will write comprehensive reports of all therapy/counseling sessions, outlining patient’s problems and needs. Candidate must have Doctoral degree in Psychology from an APA accredited university and have completed an internship with an APA accredited program. Applicants must be licensed, eligible for licensure, or preparing for licensure eligibility by the Texas State Board of Examiners of Psychologists. Experience in a medical environment as well as with culturally diverse populations is a plus. Bilingual in English and Spanish is required.
